A few helpful Definitions: |
Traditional Length =
Longer style skis offering better glide and more speed. A bit harder to
turn and control, not as easy to learn on. Often preferred by experienced
skiers. |
Nowax or Waxless = No
waxing required for grip to stride and climb hills. It is still
recommended to use a glide wax to protect the base and keep the snow from
sticking and make the skis slide better. |
|
| Mid-Length = Shorter
style skis offer improved contro and turning, easy to maneuver and learn
on. Tend to be a bit slower than traditional length skis. |
Waxable or Wax skis =
Skis that have a smooth base which must be waxed in order to get any grip
for striding and climbing hills. |
