Fitting for
Touring/Recreational Skis
Skis: Ski length is 25-30 cm. longer than skier height.
Skiers who are much heavier or lighter than average should use the next size
longer or shorter accordingly.
Poles: Poles are 30-35 cm. shorter than skier height.
Children: We recommend children's skis be 10-30 cm. longer than the child's
height. For very young skiers, ages 3-5, we recommend skis no longer than
child's height.

Fitting for Skating/Racing Skis & Poles
The following are general guidelines to help you select the proper sizes for
skate/racing skis and poles. If you are an experienced skier, and your size
preferences differ somewhat from these guidelines order the sizes that you feel

Skis: Many racing skis are available in different flexes at each length. This
allows us to select the ideal ski for your weight. Please give skier's weight or
flex preference when ordering.
Skating Skis: Skis should be 10 to 20 cm. longer than skier's height. Weight is
important, give skier weight when ordering. Some “shortie” and
“mid-length” skis are designed to be used even shorter, please refer to
specific size chart, call or e-mail.
Classical Skis: Skis should be 25-30 cm. longer than skier's height. Give skier
weight when ordering.
Skating Poles: Poles should be .89 - .92 x skiers height in cm.
Classic Race Poles: Poles should be .82 - .85 x skiers
height in cm.

Packages
If you would like us to choose the correct sizes for you, provide your height,
weight and shoe size.
It is also helpful to know how much experience you've had skiing, how athletic
you are (do you regularly participate in other active sports?), how often you
plan to ski and where you will do the majority of your skiing (groomed trails,
off-track, hilly, flat).

for compression resistance with our LL Point Test ski tester. Provide skier
weight and we will check individual skis to choose the best ski for you. If you
